RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Agreement

By placing a reservation or completing a booking, the Customer agrees to the following Rental Terms and Conditions. These terms govern the rental of equipment, furniture, décor, or other items provided by DRBY Rentals & Preloved.

2. Reservation Fee and Damage Deposit

A reservation fee is required to confirm all bookings.

  • The reservation fee is non-refundable in case of cancellation.

  • This amount will also serve as a damage deposit.
    The deposit will be refunded after all rented items are returned and inspected, provided that:

    • No items are missing

    • No major damage has occurred

If damages or losses occur, the repair or replacement cost will be deducted from the deposit.

Order Modification Policy

While the reservation fee is non-refundable, the Customer is allowed to modify the quantity or type of rental items (e.g., number of chairs, table sizes, etc.), subject to the following conditions:

  • All change requests must be made at least five (5) days prior to the scheduled booking date

  • Requests must be communicated directly via call or text message to DRBY Rentals at (509 5089 629)

  • Changes are subject to availability of items.

Late changes are not allowed, including:

  • Requests made less than five (5) days before the event

  • Requests made on the day of delivery or pickup

Failure to follow this policy means the original order will be fulfilled as initially agreed.

3. Responsibility for Rental Items

The Customer assumes full responsibility for the rented items from the time they are received until they are returned and collected by our team.

The Customer agrees to:

  • Keep all rented items safe and secure

  • Protect items from theft, loss, or damage

  • Use the equipment properly and only for its intended purpose

Any lost, stolen, or damaged items will be charged to the Customer based on the replacement or repair cost.

4. Delivery and Pickup

Delivery and pickup services are available and may incur additional charges depending on:

  • Distance

  • Order volume

  • Location accessibility

Our delivery service follows a curbside delivery and pickup policy.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • All items are knocked down (if applicable)

  • Items are clean and neatly stacked

  • Items are placed in a convenient and accessible location for pickup

Failure to prepare items properly may result in additional service fees.

5. Delivery and Pickup Schedule

Delivery and pickup times will be arranged with the Customer prior to the event.

If no one is present at the scheduled time, the Customer must provide clear instructions in advance. Our team is not responsible for delays caused by lack of access to the delivery or pickup location.

6. Loss or Damage Charges

If rented items are returned with:

  • Major damage

  • Missing parts

  • Lost items

The Customer will be charged the replacement or repair cost. These costs may be deducted from the damage deposit or invoiced if the amount exceeds the deposit.

7. Bounce House and Soft Play Set Safety Rules

To ensure the safety of all users, the following rules must be strictly observed when using the bounce house and/or soft play set:

  • No shoes allowed inside the bounce house or on soft play equipment.

  • Socks with grips on the bottom are to be worn at all times during use.

  • No sharp or pointed objects (e.g., keys, pens, jewelry, toys with hard edges) are allowed inside the play area.

  • No food, drinks, or chewing gum inside the equipment.

  • No rough play, pushing, wrestling, or flips that may cause injury.

Supervision Requirement
  • Adult supervision is strictly required at all times during use
    The Customer acknowledges that our staff will not remain on-site during the rental period.

  • The Customer is fully responsible for ensuring that all participants follow safety rules.

  • No diving into a ball pit as it poses a high risk of neck, head and back injury. 
Liability Waiver
  • The use of the bounce house and soft play equipment is at the Customer’s own risk.

  • DRBY Rentals & Preloved shall not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during use.

  • The Customer agrees to assume full responsibility for any incidents that may arise during the rental period.

Weather Policy (Bounce House & Soft Play Rentals)
  • The reservation fee remains non-refundable, except in cases of severe or unfavorable weather conditions (e.g., continuous rain) that make it unsafe to use the equipment

  • In such cases, the Customer may request a refund or rescheduling, provided that:

    • The Customer notifies DRBY Rentals & Preloved at least two (2) to three (3) days before the scheduled event date

    • Notification must be made via call or text message

    • The request is based on verifiable weather conditions or forecasts

  • Customers are expected to monitor weather updates in advance, as forecasts are typically available several days before the event

  • Failure to notify within the required timeframe will result in forfeiture of the reservation fee, even in case of bad weather

Cancellations for any other reasons are not allowed, and the reservation fee will remain non-refundable

8. Cancellation Policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable.

  • Cancellation of bookings will result in the forfeiture of the reservation fee.

  • We understand that weather can be unpredictable! Cancellations due to inclement weather are considered on a case-by-case basis, provided we are notified *at least 48 hours in advance of your event. Please contact us as soon as possible if weather becomes a concern.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a reservation, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Rental Terms and Conditions.
